1% NASA tax to help prevent conceding our space and technological leadership to Russia or China.

Created by D.E. on September 24, 2011

Frankly we can not afford to fall behind other country's in space and relinquish our space superiority, Our leadership in scientific matters or even our leadership in aerospace, Sadly it seems Nasa keeps eating budget cuts and congress is even considering scrapping Hubble's replacement even though it is nearly finished, Even our weather tracking satellites are aging and are at risk of not being replaced due to cuts.

This tax would be for the exclusive use of NASA, Assuming an average of $40,000 per family even if only 50% of Americans pay the 1% tax, This would yield approximately 60 BILLION dollars a year to help firmly keep the U.S as the leader in space, No one likes more taxes, But is that $400 a year really worth giving up so much more for future generations? Maybe even for this one?
