In 1895 the US Supreme Court ruled IRS unconstitutional. Today Americans pay too much taxes. Repeal income tax.

Created by A.P. on October 22, 2015

The roots of IRS go back to the Civil War when President Lincoln and Congress, in 1862, created the position of commissioner of Internal Revenue and enacted an income tax to pay war expenses. The income tax was repealed 10 years later. Congress revived the income tax in 1894, but the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional the following year.

In today's economy Americans pay too much. The price of goods have gone up many Americans can't afford food many skip meals to pay other bills. By cutting Federal income taxes on the working class, Americans will have 20% or more income earned to pay for bills and feed their families.

The US Supreme Court ruled income tax unconstitutional in 1895 but somehow it was reintroduced and amended into the law. It should be repealed again for good.
