Our children have a right to be protected whether they are at home or at school. In most every home there is a telephone where a child can easily dial 911 if needed. But at school, phones are not easily available. It makes sense to force city officials provide our schools with on duty police officers 12 hours a day to cover school activities and after school activities. Instead of police officers sitting on a back road texting their family or reading the newspaper, they can be at the schools and on duty.
