2 Term Limits for Members of Congress to match the Presidential term limits

Created by R.B. on March 12, 2013

Public Service is meant to be a duty in which you serve your fellow Americans and not a way to make a lively hood.

I put forth that Congress be limited to the same two term limit as the President of the United States.

2 Terms for the House of Representatives. This I believe would allow more every day people to take part in being elected to these two year terms. Total of 4 years

2 Terms for the Senate. I believe the Senate having longer terms allows for more stability in laws coming out of the upper chamber. Total of 12 years.

This still gives someone with a true heart of a servant to serve for 16 years. I believe with term limits enacted special interest and lobbyist would loose sway and we the people would have our voices back!
