American citizens are increasingly disillusioned by politics and political leaders. There are widespread beliefs that the system favors ethically-challenged candidates with big money backers. We the undersigned request, nay demand, that the winner of the 2016 presidential election immediately:
- Eliminate all financial or policy-impacting relationships to charitable foundations associated with themselves or immediate family members
- Disclose all business ties of themselves/family members and divest all potentially conflicting interests within 100 days
- Disclose federal income tax records for previous ten years
- Work with Congress to minimize corrupting influence of big money donors on federal campaigns
- Pledge to uphold the highest ethical standards in all actions taken as President
