In the night from 25th to 26th of February Armenian Armed Forces occupied the city of Khojaly with the support of military staff and armored technique of 366th motor-rifle regiment which is located in the city of Khankendi (Stepanakert) from the USSR times. Before attack, on the 25th of February the town was fired upon. At the result, on the 26th of February at 5 oтclock in the morning Khojaly was completely caught fire. Nearly 2500 Khojaly residents, who stayed in blockaded town, left Khojaly with the hope to reach the centre of Aghdam region. But within one day 613 of 2500 residents who left the city razed from the ground, encountered enemy bullet and became victims of this execution.
