Class II felons and lower felonies convictions are generally for drugs, burglary, breaking & entry. Most of these convictions are made at the expense of teenagers and young adults who were misguided in their youth.
These are the same people that are turned down for employment because these convictions are on their permanent records.
These are the same people that are turned away at colleges because of their records.
These are the same people that are now volunteering at church functions and in neighborhood community centers trying to keep other children from making the same mistakes they did.
These people have served their time, completed probation or parole and have been trouble free with the law for at least 10 years, they deserve to have their rights restored at a federal level.
