The purpose of this petition is to propose ideas aimed at significantly reducing gun-related violence and mass murders throughout the United States of America.
Gun ownership must be considered a privilege requiring a more proactive and sophisticated screening and management strategy. Current laws do very little to mitigate the use of a firearms to injure or kill others today.
We, the signers of this petition, hereby propose a host of ideas we think could further mitigate, and ideally eliminate, senseless, unconscionable, gun-related tragedies in America; not the least of which, and most recently, involved a single person who willfully murdered 20 innocent children and 6 educators at an elementary school in Connecticut:
