We have flooding all over our country! WHY don't we construct a system to route FRESHWATER from areas of flooding into these rivers? Would it be expensive - You bet! but so is the BILLIONS $ in damage from the flooding. Can it be done - You bet! with "bayous", engineering and pipelines. WHY don't we as a nation do something about this? All we need is people DEMANDING a solution . Think of the JOBS created in a project of this size and scope. The time is quickly coming when only countries with freshwater systems will prosper and fresh-potable-water will become the new oil.
