Election to Congress should be considered a "term of service" NOT a career. Service our country for 4 or 8 years, then go back to your job. No more "gridlock". Congress would be more determined to make laws that everyone would follow (since they would have to eventually follow/pay for them also). No exceptions for the Congress. Less temptation.
