We should have another An Experiment in Modern Music concert to showcase not just the anniversary of the debut of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue but to introduce new American composers and their new works.
In 1924, Paul Whiteman organized a concert to give the public a view of new American music. If we can recreate that experiment, we could even find our modern day Rhapsody in Blue.
