Partisanship is a bane on the National discourse. It has led to grid lock of Government and promotes the view that politicians are only interested in the acquisition and maintenance of political power.
We should not outlaw political parties as that would infringe on a persons right of free expression, rather we should, through an act of personal self discipline, refrain from campaigning, this leads only to promises that cannot be kept, refrain from nomination, and definitely stop partisan debate. Good ideas exist in all walks of life, and we must all acknowledge that for any of us to succeed in this society we must all succeed together. We must stop the character assassination of those we have honest disagreements with.
In short we MUST put community ahead of self!
