Abandon programs that encourage illegal immigration and thus cause the deaths of thousands of people.

Programs, like the DREAM Act, that give benefits to illegal immigrants endanger thousands of foreigners by inviting them to risk their lives in order to cross the border. Hundreds of illegal immigrants are found dead each year on ranches and farms near the border. By rewarding illegals who have made it across, we are causing a huge increase in illegal immigration. This will also cause an increase in deaths resulting from illegal immigration and from the violence that accompanies it. Drug and human smuggling cartels are paid $10,000-$15,000 by every illegal immigrant who wants to be smuggled across. This cash adds to the cartels' power and allows them to commit atrocious acts of violence in Mexico. By helping a few illegals, these programs are making the border situation much worse.
