Obama would abdicate his position as the Head of State, and propose forming a union with our Northern neighbor, Canada. He would ask congress to recognize the current Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Pierre James Trudeau, as leader of this new Union. In light of the upcoming elections, our process seems to have failed with the current prospects in both major political parties.
This would furthermore strengthen Americas geopolitical position on the continent, and consolidate economically with our biggest trade partner. A united North America would be a larger economic block than even the combined European Union. Also with the current rate of global warming, this union would be able to easily control the opening arctic sea lanes and prevent Russian domination.
