Abide in letter and spirit by the terms and conditions of the UN's Kofi Annan Plan for ending the conflict in Syria.

This petition calls on the US government to abide by the UN's plan for ending the conflict in Syria, known as the Kofi Annan Plan. The US government's support for the opposition and rebel groups fighting the legitimate government of Syria is in direct violation of the UN's plan. The opposition has proven itself to be dominated by Muslim Brotherhood groups who refuse to dialogue with the current ruling power in Damascus. The rebel militias are heaviliy infiltrated by jihadist gangs, many of which are connected with the al Qaeda terrorist group. The US has not given full credence to the legitimacy of the Assad government's call for open elections in 2014 and instead has taken actions that directly result in refusing the Syrian people the right to elect their own leader.
