Ability to use smart phones without the required data plans - voice only plans on non-subsidized smart phones

Created by S.J. on March 07, 2013

Wireless providers force smart phone customers to sign up for expensive data plans even after completing the contract commitment. The data plans are required even if you have paid the full price for the smart phone. Moreover, they will automatically add a data plan if they detect that you are using a smart phone. Consumers should have a choice to buy what ever cell phone plan they need and use it with what ever device they own if the carrier is not currently paying any subsidy.
