We are requesting that the Adoption Safe Families Act and Child Protective Services be abolished. The program is ineffective and does not keep children safe. Instead of working to keep families together, this program terrorizes families and separates families. There is an increase in the number of false claims of Child Abuse for the purpose of receiving federal funds. The government should not be providing incentives to place children up for adoption. Case plans in exchange for federal funding for foster care programs is ineffective in keeping children safe. These case plans only fatten the pockets of service providers. Families are falsely accused of abuse and neglect to receive this federal funding. This has to stop and it must begin with abolishing the federal funding.
