Study after study confirms that abstinence only education does not work, including a federal study made in 2007.
These programs are not only ineffective but also perform a disservice to our young people by not giving them information about safe sex. In some cases they even lie about the dangers of condoms.
We need to stop wasting our money on these programs and give our kids some useful sex ed that teaches about safe sex (such new programs can include abstinence too).
