The 2nd Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights to ensure the ability of the citizens of the United States to defend themselves against all threats both foreign and domestic and to defend themselves against tyranny in all forms of authority. It is also the peoples system of checks and balances with all forms of authority. Therefore, it is fundamentally necessary to ensure that the citizens can adequately match the firearms possessed and used by all forms of authority in terms of equal function, aesthetics, quality of construction and reliability. Thus any restrictions or excess taxes placed on the manufacturing, importation, distribution, sales and possession of firearms, accessories or ammunition is a direct violation of the 2nd Amendment, and therefore should be abolished.
