Marriage is a religious act and as such should be protected from governmental regulations under the separation of Church and State. This country was founded upon religious freedom, and marriage is part of that religious freedom. The American Government should not have the right to dictate who or how many people any person can marry. Governmental influence regarding marriages should be limited solely to division of properties and child custody.
