We the people elect representatives and leaders to run our government in our favor. Currently, some of these positions provide strong financial incentives for life.
In an attempt to restore democracy and reduce government corruption, I believe these elected positions shall provide no incentives aside from the pride of serving the people. Our representatives shall have no advantage over the "common" American in order to provide honest representation.
I ask our leaders to take a first step and abolish any financial, medical, or other incentives received after they have left office. Until the law is fixed, I ask all honest leaders to respectfully decline any post-office pay they are offered or donate it to a non-political charity.
