Tort caps limit the amount of money that a wrongdoer has to pay a victim in civil law when someone gets hurt through no fault of their own. This capping relieves Corporate America of any responsibility that it has to people who have been hurt by their products or negligence. Tort caps are not only hurtful to the victims but they are also unconstitutional when legislators limit juries to how much they can award someone that has been hurt through no fault of their own.
