abolish the antiquated Electoral College and hold Presidential elections based on the Popular Vote.

Created by M.S. on January 18, 2013

Our Founding Fathers created the Electoral College because they did not trust the ordinary citizen to make such an important decision as electing the president.

They thought the citizens would not be informed enough to choose wisely.

Today, the primary impact of the Electoral College is to give the citizens of the few battleground states more influence in the presidential election.

We have the means today, and the imperative to count the vote of each and every citizen of this country.
