The cost of owning and operating a vehicle in America is a road block that is preventing many people from getting jobs. The easiest and most efficient way to lower the cost of vehicle ownership is by abolishing the requirement of motorists to have car insurance. In much of America, a car is needed in order to have a job. This causes many to have to scale back on necessities such as food in order to pay for insurance. Every individual American should be able to decide whether it is to their advantage to purchase auto insurance, not the government. We call our country the land of the free, yet we are not free to drive without car insurance.
