Our current representative based republican system is outdated. It was put into place because when our nation formed it was unfeasible to get everyone's opinions in a timely fashion. Now we have the technology and structure of a nation to replace our representative based system with a system that allows every American to vote on currently congressional issues. Municipal government already use this system in their voting booths with small taxes and ordinances. We need to abolish our congress or at least take steps to create a more direct voting system. We need to create a system of popular vote that replaces congressional vote. A true democracy is what I petition our government to reform into, one where everyone is equal and politics won't hold back descisions.
