Abolish congressional pensions and health care benefits and require them to pay into social security and medicare.

Members of congress receive huge salaries, benefits and pensions for doing little or no work while they constantly look to decrease the minimal safety net for the poor, disabled and elderly. They vote on their own salaries and benefits and the American people who pay these are never consulted. They should be required to pay into social security and pay for their health coverage and the egregious pension and benefits they receive after they leave office, even if they serve for only 2 years, should be abolished.
