abolish Congress's retirement and medical plans and put them on Social Security & Medicare, like most Americans

Congress constantly fights about Social Security and Medicare, claiming they are entitlements, and yet fail to understand how this affects elderly retirees. In order for Congress to better understand this process, all members of Congress will immediately become contributors, and/or payees of these Entitlements. Congress will be required to use Medicare as their source of Medical Compensation, and Social Security for their retirement plan. In this way, they will become normal citizens, and will learn what it is like to NOT have special benefits paid by taxpayers. Since Congress is allowed to vote for their own pay raises, this would help them to better understand, and also feel, the cuts they choose to implement on our retired citizens.
