Abolish conscription (Selective Service System)

Created by H.A. on June 28, 2014

The Selective Service System is a mandatory conscription program that all US male residents (including asylum seekers and refugees) between the age of 18-25 are required to register into. Failure to register will result in a $250,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison, and even INDICATING that you are an objector to conscription while registering will result in similar punishments. After registering, the government reserves the right to force you into military service at any time (even in peacetime) at your expense. The Selective Service System is a violation of the human rights and individual freedoms that we must strive to protect against all odds. Signing this petition will show your opposition to forceful military service and preserve our right to live as we please.
