Abolish The Creation Of Pennies In All US Mints and Allow The Destruction Of Pennies For Their Raw Materials

I would like to ask for the US government to abolish the production of pennies and allow us as citizens to remove them from circulation by smelting them down into the more valuable raw materials they are made of. Pennies are not accepted by vending machines, laundromats, or anywhere you would use pennies. Even government parking meters don't accept pennies! As well as the fact is that while people are fiddling with pennies at the cash register because prices don't include sales tax, they are potentially losing a Billion dollars in production costs. Countries such as Australia and Canada as well as many others have removed pennies from circulation, and prices didn't go up neither did donations go down. Hopefully you will se the logic in this and answer the People's calls for action!!
