Abolish the cruel practice of bow hunting so that other animals will not needlessly suffer the way Cecil did

Cecil the Lion suffered for 40 hours prior to his death. This is because Cecil was shot with a crossbow, which is a method of hunting that is inherently less effective than the more practical method of hunting with a rifle.
The cruelty inflicted by bow attacks is completely needless. Many stories and pictures have been shared of deer and other wildlife who have fled from hunter attacks with an arrow still stuck inside of them, with the animal helpless, completely unable to extract it the way that you or I would be able to do. The arrow(s) remain embedded in the animal's body or head indefinitely, simply because the hunter found shooting an arrow to be more "fun."
