Abolish daylight savings time. Daylight savings time is ineffective at reducing energy use and should be abandoned.

Created by C.E. on March 10, 2013

Daylight savings time was originally implemented to conserve energy by shifting the clocks to take advantage of daylight in the evenings when most people are shopping or playing. In the years since implementation energy use has shifted dramatically away from lighting, to appliances, heating, and cooling which consume far more energy and are not influenced by shifting clocks. The time has come to abolish daylight savings time.
