Abolish Daylight Savings Time in the United States.

Created by B.Y. on April 29, 2014

Daylight Savings Time is an outdated construct in our country that only serves as a nuisance to American citizens today. Studies (National Bureau of Standards) have shown that DST doesn't save energy, and actually decreases productivity because of people having to adjust to a new time shift twice every year. In fact, these random shifts in time have health dangers as well.

Many countries already opt not to use Daylight Savings Time, and U.S. states including Arizona and Hawaii already choose not to use Daylight Savings. DST isn't even consistent across countries that do use it, for different countries start and end DST at different times, creating confusion.

There is no reason to continue this practice which is a hassle to Americans across the country and provides no benefit to anyone.
