Daylight Savings Time no longer serves any significant purpose. We should standardize on either Standard Time or Daylight Savings Time year round.
It was created during WWI to save electricity at a time when our electric grid's capacity was small. After WWI the practice was discontinued until WWII when it was reinstated for similar reasons.
Now we have enough power, and switching time twice a year is more disruptive to our daily lives and family routines than any benefit it may still provide.
Please end daylight savings time.
