The DEA does not serve the will of the people and is a complete and total waste of our hard earned tax dollars. This agency has the ability to write and enact its own laws, with no say or input from congress or the people. That is not how a democracy is supposed to function. They do not respect states rights in regards to enacted medical and recreational cannabis laws and are now intending to put yet another plant (kratom) on the controlled substances list as a schedule 1 controlled substance. In a nation that is supposed to be the land of the free, meanwhile having the highest incarceration rate in the world, the time is long past to do away with this agency that serves no positive purpose.
