The death penalty is a cruel and barbaric punishment. It is irreversible and innocent people could lose their lives for crimes that they did not commit. It is inhumane and a majority of the world does not use it.
Capital punishment is a drain on resources due to the long court processes. It is racially biased, and not just. This infringement on our basic human rights should be removed.
