The death penalty must be abolished. Not only does it cost taxpayers millions of dollars each year, it it used in a discriminatory matter. Most people who have received the death penalty are minorities and they received the death penalty for killing a white person. Capital punishment is an outright violation of human rights.
Life sentence with out possibility of parole is a great alternative because it is a fair and humane punishment and it cost less for our citizens.
