The death penalty cannot be justified in a civilized society... Involving the killing of a jailed, defenseless individual, it does not pass the self-defense test! Any possible advantage it might present as a deterrent of crime, cannot justify rolling the dice on a convict, with this final act which cannot be undone in the case of wrong condemnation.
Judicial errors are human, and will happen... Killing a convict legally through the judicial system on the other hand, must not happen, it is forcing the hand of God. The death penalty should be abolished in America.
