Abolish the death penalty, except for in the most extreme circumstances (stated below)

Created by K.M. on June 10, 2015

Does the death penalty actually deter people from committing crimes more than life in prison without parole?
The only time Capital punishment should be necessary is for cases of absolutely no reform. Can we really risk civilians lives if we do not know that they are 100% for sure guilty? There are people that are for sure guilty:
-Gary Ridgeway ?
-Charles Manson?
-Scott Peterson?
But we loose focus and kill the less fortunate...
-Troy Davis
-Carlos Deluna
We must make a change!
Life without parole is a much more humane, but also is more of a deterrence from committing crimes.
The death penalty is only an escape from the crime you committed, wouldn't you rather they sit in solitary confinement/prison for life, or just end your life and not have to deal with everything that happened?
