To end capital punishment. If premeditated murder is illegal than those who plan and terminate a persons life is also guilty of premeditating murder. The death penalty has not been proven to be an effective deterrent nor does it offer any true justice. Innocent people have been put to death and people can change. It is without a doubt a cruel form of punishment for a person to know the exact day of their death.
