Abolish the death tax. People work too hard to leave something for their children to have so much taken away.

Created by J.D. on November 16, 2012

The death tax takes a large percentage of a person's monetary worth when they die. A person's children should not be held liable by the government for their inheritance. Parents work and sacrifice their whole life to leave an inheritance to their children. If a person's possessions are left to someone other than their spouse or children, than the death tax is more reasonable, but for the government to confiscate a person's possessions left to their immediate family is an unfair and unjust tax burden that no American should have to bare.
