The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have yet to definitively demonstrate their supposed purpose of safeguarding the freedoms and security of American citizens. These vestiges of the Bush Administration, shamefully perpetuated by the Obama Administration (how is this "change"?), serve no apparent purpose other than to trample upon the rights of Americans and to waste their increasingly precious tax money. The DHS and TSA should therefore be shutdown immediately, and their responsibilities transferred to no other Agency, Department, or other Federal Government institution.
