It is time the US government stop it's discriminating tax on smokers, or to start taxing car owners and companies who pollute through emissions on the same scale.
an SUV puts out more emissions in one minute than a smoker does in a 10 years, and some companies put out more emissions in one second than a 1000 smokers put out in their entire lifetime. (these are estimations, but I dare you to do the science and prove it wrong)
We charge the government to either tax across the board or not tax at all. it is unfair to target a single group of people, and to demonize them and not do the same to others because they are wealthy.
