Abolish the discriminatory practice of requiring all construction related businesses to provide work comp for all hired.

This petition is an effort to remove the burden of providing work comp insurance coverage by every construction related business. All other types of employers are allowed to hire up to 3 people without having to pay for this exorbitant coverage. The small construction firm is severely limited in hiring any temporary or part-time help in that work comp demands a huge chunk of funds they likely don't have yet in order to attempt to go about their job. There's no pay-as-you-go scenarios available because the "insurer" demands a large initial premium upfront before you can hire someone and then wait to receive payment for the work you eventually accomplish with their help. This impossible requirement makes it impractical for small construction businesses to attempt to exist, much less be LEGAL
