Abolish Dress Code in Schools as it is derogatory to young women and men

Created by I.F. on May 24, 2014

Many schools districts and individual schools have adopted a mandatory dress code for children attending those establishments.

It is clear that most of the policies of the dress code are aimed towards women with rules such as:

• NO short pants or skirts
• NO tank tops or shirts that are shorter then 3 fingers length
• NO distracting objects such as shiny jewelry or flashy colors

The policies aimed for young men are generally for men in gangs such as

• NO bandanas
• NO sagging pants (which in certain areas have been made ILLEGAL)
• NO headphones or music related objects allowed

These policies are obviously aimed towards controlling the dress of women and ethnic men.

Please abolish a dress code in public schools.
