Abolish the Drug Enforcement Agency, and require retrials on all state and federal non-violent drug convictions.

Created by B.L. on February 19, 2014

We the people of this great county demand the D.E.A be abolished and an end to a failed "War on Drugs" policy. The popular support for such policy has long since died, and many people understandably see the war on drugs as a war on the poor and predominantly targeting people of color. The legalization of Cannabis currently has wide spread support for both recreational and medical uses; and is a great start. Yet does nothing to fix the overcrowded prisons we have filled with non-violent drug offenders. So in addition we call for retrials on all non-violent drug offences, and an end to the powder/rock disparity in cocaine sentencing. And a creating addiction counselling centers as an pre-trial alternative for possession only cases.
