Our current electoral college system defeats the ideals of a democracy and what the people want as we have seen time and time again with presidential candidates who received the popular vote, but ultimately lost due to the electoral college. Presidential elections are more of a winner-takes-all battle per state rather than an actual popular vote from the people themselves. The entire idea of winning all the delegates from each state prioritizes location of debates from the amount of delegates per state which in turn ostracizes low delegate states from being involved with the debates every term. Not only this, but super-delegates are a major problem with the elector system (Look at Hillary Clinton for this term's election). Bring this system to a simple democracy!
