The electoral college has outlived its usefulness and no longer represents the will of the people. In five presidential elections, the popular vote has been discounted by the electoral college, seating presidents that do not reflect the wishes of the majority of the nation.
The time has come to rely on the popular vote of the people to determine the leaders of our nation, and in so doing, restore the balance of power to the citizens.
