The Electoral College is an archaic form of Representational Democracy. If we are truly One Nation, then we should implement the most direct form of democracy possible. There is little to no sense in representing a population. If the idea is to represent the States, it is in a clumsy way. Tensions are high in America, because the population at large feels like they have little to no voice. A perceptive administrator would take this into account, and do his best to correct this inadequacy for future elections.
