We, the people of the United States of America, believe it should be our vote that matters. When going into the general election we believe it should be a vote for the president of the United States of America, not for electors that serve as a proxy.
We, the people, have elected a president five times that the electoral college has turned against.
These include John Quincy Adams vs. Andrew Jackson (1824), Rutherford B. Hayes vs. Samuel J. Tilden (1876), Benjamin Harrison vs. Grover Cleveland (1888), George Bush vs. Al Gore (2000), and Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton (2016).
Regardless of the performance of those elected, we the people believe our president, the man who represents us, should therefore be elected by us - not by a proxy.
