The founding fathers thought the smaller states would benefit more by having the Electoral College rather than go with the Popular vote. This has not worked well for 2 Elections in the last 10 years. In those elections, the people that won the Popular Vote did Not win the Election. The 2016 Election, the person who won the Popular vote by more than 2 million votes did Not win the Presidency. The Democrats were robbed of a win. That also to Al Gore in 2000. He won the Popular vote, but did not become President. Both of these cases are horrific. We need to abolish the Electoral College. The people's voice should be heard, not a "select" few.
